Dallas Bailie Memorial Award
IIAACCC is committed to the community in which we work and live.
As an Association we support a number of non profit organizations through volunteerism and philanthropy. As individuals
many insurance professionals make a difference by contributing their time, energy and talents to the causes they hold dear.
The Independent Insurance Agents of Contra Costa County is proud to recognize their outstanding work through the Dallas Bailie
Award.

2009 Dallas
Bailie Memorial Award Winner!
John Antaki, a long time member of IIAACCC, is an active and committed member of the association and the community
of Contra Costa County. He has been the driving force behind the annual IIAACCC golf tournaments.
When he took over the event “he had big shoes to fill” left behind by John Parker. But
he met the challenge and has generated significant financial contributions in support of local non-profits, Proud Fathers,
Monument Crisis Center, Family Stress Center and Mike Rose’s Benevolence Program to name a few.
He is committed to youth soccer.
He coaches and referees. In the past year he has worked tirelessly to set up the non-profit, United
Mt Diablo Athletic Foundation. As a board member he works to keep the sports program in six high schools
in the Mt Diablo School District available to the youth. He has been successful in promoting the need to
the public and has brought in many donations.
John is an outstanding insurance professional, friend to many, a dedicated family man and always the life of the
party.
Congratulations,
John.
Bonnie Ottino Education Scholarship Award
Bonnie worked for IIABC, the precursor of IBA West, for 30+ years, serving as Executive Director until her retirement
in 1984. She then filled that same position for the IIAACCC until 1994. During her long and varied insurance career, Bonnie
was a staunch advocate of professional women in the insurance industry. She led by example, providing a model of hard work
and the highest standards of professionalism. Bonnie passed away in 1995. The Independent Insurance Agents Association of
Contra Costa County (IIAACCC) established this scholarship award in an effort to perpetuate her memory.
The Bonnie Ottino Education Memorial Award was established with several objectives
in mind:
1) To assist insurance professionals in reaching a higher level of performance through professional
education.
2) To assist agencies with the sometimes unaffordable professional development costs and thereby
contributing to their ability to provide continuing education to employees.
3) To enhance the knowledge of agency
employees so that they, in turn, will contribute to their
association and the insurance profession as a whole.
Recipient of the award is given up to $500 reimbursement for successful completion of the course.
